São NOVENTA ANOS de Vida, completados hoje, deste homem que se tornou sinônimo de trabalho bem feito, de legado indiscutível e de um companheirismo digno de honra e de todas as homenagens.

LUIZ FERREIRA DA MATTA, que trouxe gravado no seu DNA o Negro, da mãe CHIQUINHA, e o Branco, do pai DIAMANTINO, tem um misto fabuloso de caboclo materno e de um português que veio do outro lado do Oceano Atlântico, mais precisamente do Porto, das terras européias de Portugal, plantar futuro no Brasil, no Amazonas e na cidade de Manaus.

E aqui, em Manaus , o Doutor MATTA, como ficou sendo chamado e conhecido, nasceu, cresceu com seus irmãos, estudou e se casou com sua colega da Turma da Faculdade de Direito da Universidade do Amazonas, a Doutora TEREZINHA, com quem teve seis filhos.

No enredo da sua brilhante história não faltaram grandes responsabilidades, a partir do Bairro da Cachoeirinha, onde construiu a casa da família, momentos difíceis, luta para se manter de pé, mas também muitas vitórias conseguidas com determinação, seguidas das sempre comemorações com a esposa, filhos e amigos, onde os obstáculos davam lugar à estonteantes rodadas de XPTO amazonense, além de vinhos do lugar de nascimento do “seo” Diamantino. Assim, a vida ficava mais leve para todos.

Além dos livros e tratados jurídicos, o Doutor MATTA enfrentava, e ainda enfrenta, o seu dia-a-dia com rara tenacidade, maestria e, ainda, colocando uma pitada de humor e alegria, ao contar seus intermináveis “causos”, para o regozijo de todos.

Além da devoção à família, é um incansável trabalhador, como atestam seus colegas de longa data, da Marinha do Brasil e de hoje, do Porto de Manaus, muitos deles com amizades cultivadas há mais de 50 anos, onde o convívio profissional se atrelou de vez a eternas e sinceras amizades.

É bom estar ao seu lado e do seu lado, Doutor MATTA. É maravilhoso nos abeberarmos dos seus conhecimentos e experiências, que o amigo tem transmitido à todos nós, sem nenhum medo de nos ensinar, inclusive “os pulos do gato”.

É uma honra estarmos juntos aqui hoje para lhe prestar reverência e respeito, na certeza de que a sua sabedoria e experiência têm nos alcançado, nos fazendo mais humanos e mais pertos do seu bondoso e acolhedor coração, comparado somente ao grande coração de Deus.

Parabéns, pela vida bem vivida, amigo. Pelo seu convívio com a gente, como um perfeito PEDRA NOVENTA.

90 YEARS OF DOCTOR MATTA

They are NEW YEARS of Life, completed today, of this man who has become synonymous with well done work, with undisputed legacy and a companionship worthy of honor and all honors.

LUIZ FERREIRA da MATTA, who brought in his DNA the Black, the mother CHIQUINHA, and the White, the father DIAMANTINO, has a fabulous mix of maternal caboclo and a Portuguese that came on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, more precisely the Port, the European lands of Portugal, plant future in Brazil, the Amazon and the city of Manaus.

And here, in Manaus , Doctor MATTA, as he was called and known, was born, grew up with his brothers, studied and married his colleague of the Class of the Law School of the University of Amazonas, Doctor Terezinha, with whom he had six children.

In the plot of his brilliant story there were no lack of great responsibilities, from the Bairro da Cachoeirinha, where he built the family house, difficult times, struggle to stand, but also many victories achieved with determination, followed by always celebrations with his wife, children and friends, where the obstacles gave way to the stunning rounds of Amazon XPTO, besides wines from the birthplace of the “seo” Diamantine. Thus life became lighter for all.

In addition to the books and legal treaties, Doctor MATTA faced, and still faces, his daily life with rare tenacity, mastery and, still, putting a hint of humor and joy, counting his endless “causes”, for the joy of all.

In addition to devotion to the family, he is a tireless worker, as his longtime colleagues attest, the Navy of Brazil and today, the Port of Manaus, many of them with friendships cultivated for more than 50 years, where the professional life has been linked to eternal and sincere friendships.

It’s good to be by your side and by your side, Doctor MATTA. It is wonderful to be drunk with your knowledge and experiences, which your friend has transmitted to all of us, without any fear of teaching us, including “the cat jumps”.
