Dando continuidade na temporada de cruzeiros 2024/2025, o Porto de Manaus recebeu nesta sexta-feira (14), mais um luxuoso navio com aproximadamente 1 mil turistas, entre tripulantes e passageiros. Só no mês de março, o porto recebe quatro navios, injetando milhões na economia local.
O cruzeiro MS Azamara Journey é um transatlântico inédito nas águas do Rio Negro e tem 181 metros de comprimento. Ele iniciou sua jornada em Malta, na Europa, e já passou por Belém-PA e seguirá para Parintins-AM.
Além disso, o Porto de Manaus realizou ações de receptivo com a tradicional troca de placas, que contou com a presença do Presidente do Porto, Sr. Raimundo Nonato, do Diretor de Operações, Sr. Valmir Mendonça e da Autoridade Portuária, Dr. Jorge Barroso. O momento reafirma o compromisso de registrar a vista dos navios e atendê-los da melhor forma possível.
O fluxo de cruzeiristas no Amazonas tem um impacto significativo na economia local, movimentando setores como hotelaria, restaurantes, comércio e serviços turísticos. Segundo a Amazonastur, os turistas internacionais representam a maioria dos visitantes, com 61,56% vindos dos Estados Unidos, 24% do Reino Unido e 9,33% do Canadá.
