Heritage Week: Port of Manaus and Iphan perform aulão and guided tour in the Architectural and Landscape Set in the port area of the capital

O Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (Iphan) e o Porto de Manaus, realizaram ontem (16), um aulão de resgate histórico, oficina de desenho, visita guiada ao Porto e outras atividades para incentivar a preservação do patrimônio cultural brasileiro.

O momento, comemorou o Dia do Patrimônio Cultural, celebrado neste sábado, 17 de agosto, em alusão ao aniversário do advogado e jornalista Rodrigo Melo Franco de Andrade (1898-1969), responsável por criar, em 1937, o Serviço de Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (Sphan), órgão que daria origem ao Iphan.

The moment celebrated the Cultural Heritage Day, celebrated on Saturday, August 17, in allusion to the anniversary of lawyer and journalist Rodrigo Melo Franco de Andrade (1898-1969), responsible for creating, in 1937, the National Historic and Artistic Heritage Service (Sphan), an agency that would give rise to Iphan.
