Faced with the increase in passenger flow to the 58th Parintins Festival, the Regulatory Agency of Public Services Delegated and Contracted of the State of Amazonas (Arsepam) and the Consumer Defense Institute (Procon-AM), in partnership with the Port of Manaus, perform, this month, a joint action of supervision and guidance in intermunicipal waterway transport. The first operation took place this week, in the Port of Manaus, in Manaus Moderna and in the ticket sales agencies.
The focus of the action was to verify whether vessels bound for the Tupinambarana Island are respecting the right to gratuitousness for the Elderly, People with Disabilities (PcD) and other members of the priority group, in addition to checking the prices of the tickets.
The initiative is part of Operation Parintins 2025, which intensifies the presence of control bodies during the period of greater passenger movement towards the festival.
